Shockaholic by Carrie Fisher

“Everyone wants to be Cary Grant, even Cary Grant. But no one wants to be Carrie Fisher.” Continuing where Wishful Drinking left off, this book is a sadly hilarious, brutally honest, and ultimately heartfelt memoir that deserves the full attention of the reader. As abnormal as her life played out in comparison to most of ours, as screwed up as we think she is by our standards, and as screwed up as she thinks she is by her own, Carrie Fisher proves that she has two things in abundance that all of us truly need to get by in the world: a great sense of humor and a big heart. The best thing I can say to describe the book is simply to let the story unfold and see how it affects you.
