Ghosts: True Encounters with the World Beyond by Hans Holzer

If you study the paranormal and aren’t familiar with the name Hans Holzer, then you’re not nearly as deep into this subject as you think.  In the field of ghost hunting, this man is a legend.  Correction: he’s the legend.  The author of over 100 books on the subject of ghosts and a professional ghost hunter himself, Dr. Holzer has seen it all, done it all, and published it all.

This book is the holy grail of his work.  Clocking in around 760 pages, this large hardcover coffee table tome is full of cases both infamous and obscure, and all of them are ones he personally investigated.  From Hollywood to the White House to Amityville and beyond, this book is the book every enthusiast absolutely must have.  I was fortunate enough to grab this hardcover when it was published in 1997, in the midst of my own time as a ghost hunter.  While this book won’t inform anyone of how to go about doing such a thing, the stories themselves are fascinating insights into what’s out there.

Anything else is more about the answers you find for yourself.
