Another title I picked up with the intent of saving my life, this set of techniques is a variation on a theme of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). As you can see by the title, the idea is focused more on the idea of not beating yourself up. When you fight the cycle of depression, anger, and anxiety, this is more important than most might realize. Think of the techniques offered here as a way of packing a parachute before you hurl yourself into the chasm of despair. Over time you can trade that out for a jetpack, provided you use the tools. There’s more philosophy than science offered here, but it’s still solid and provable, and thus valuable. I’m only just beginning, and it’s been helpful so far.
