If you happen to be an independent author, or want to be, this little resource comes recommended by some bestselling, longtime professional authors. That’s really the only thing that should sway your decision to read it and implement what you find here.
For myself, I found this book an easy read, but the concepts in it were daunting in ways I can’t even express, primarily because of my aversion and revulsion to the popular social media platforms. If it comes to a choice between digging ditches or using Facebook and Twitter, I’ll dig ditches. Seriously. So with that in mind, that completely disqualifies me as a reasonable person to review this book. So why read it? Because there are all kinds of other useful goodies in here besides marketing. I don’t have the first clue when it comes to business, and Joanna Penn’s rather impressive experience is brought to bear here in ways that those who are serious about it can execute and get results. Beyond that, she points the way to other resources she’s put out there. If you’re looking to get a foothold in this world, this book is a light in the darkness.
