Preparing for Scarborough

Today just became a day centered around Scarborough Renaissance Festival, and we’re still just shy of three months away.

First, I’ve been working with the good people at Wyvern Productions on getting a custom surcoat made with my coat of arms on it.  They sent over the digital proof of the embroidery this morning, and I’m pleased to share it just because I can.

The surcoat itself will be a sleeveless royal blue cotton with a black cotton inner lining, in case you’re wondering.

Within moments of receiving this, I got word that one of my favorite bands from Scarborough — Saxon Moon — will be playing an after hours show at the Dallas Museum of Art on January 20.

Talk about a tonal shift for the day!  Time to break out my Saxon Moon tunes.
