Backdated Audible Reviews and Other Updates

A friend of mine asked me yesterday, how many more of these backdated reviews do I have left to go?  I told her I had about 40-50 left, but some of those earlier ones wouldn’t be showing up here on the site.

I’ve just done the math.  I’ve got 11 left that are worth posting.  So for those of you who get bombarded by email updates… there’s light at the end of that tunnel.  After that, everything going forward will be just that: forward.

In other news… I’ve come to the conclusion I need new glasses.  Worse, it’s probably going to be bifocals.  I’ve been putting this off for so long, but it’s become a detriment to my reading habit.  Amazing isn’t it, how you can operate a car and see everything, but you can’t see a book unless you either take off your glasses and hold it next to your face or drop it on the floor and stand while reading?  Or maybe that’s just me.  Either way, it’s one factor that slows down my print reading, and that’s become intolerable.  If all goes well, my plan is to get my eyes checked after work today, and then hopefully I’ll have new specs by the end of the week.

Last but not least, today is friend and author Samantha Wilcoxson’s birthday.  She’s celebrating by releasing her new historical fiction novel, Queen of Martyrs: The Story of Mary I.  Best to you, my friend!

FYI, per her request, my own review of this will drop tomorrow.  I was one of those lucky few who got it early.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, Troy! I hope everyone loves my Mary, & I can’t wait for them to read your review!

Bifocals aren’t all bad. My vision is actually 20/20 – even at my advanced age 😉 but I still have to wear glasses sometimes when I read because I go cross-eyed. Think of how intellectual we look though!

    • I’ve got comments closed automatically on posts 2 weeks or older due to some hacking attempts. These are older posts, hence they’re closed. But I accept email. All back reviews got finished posting yesterday, so now I can move forward. Anything I didn’t move is because the review sucked. It’s an excuse to revisit later.
