I mentioned in the blog last week that I didn’t blog that often about Star Wars because I felt like everything’s been covered from pretty much every angle imaginable. But I also said that I felt like I needed to do something, anything. Star Wars is the foundation upon which everything else I know and love is built, and with the 40th anniversary this month I felt like this site needed a proper tribute of some kind to the Galaxy Far, Far Away. I asked you, the readers, what it is I should do. I didn’t get much feedback, but between the comment here and those in email, it sounds like my reviews of what’s out there is pretty much the consensus. And I’m good with that.
To that end, I’ve reinstated my formerly dropped blog project page, The Power of the Force. I plan to update the header graphic in the near future, which I’ll retrofit to pre-existing posts for the sake of consistency. I’ve added in the links to the reviews and original blog posts that are here on the site already, and I’ve put in some placeholders for the stuff I hope to cover in the course of this project as it unfolds. I hope that’ll generate some interest for you and give you some idea of what to expect. And, as always, I’m open to further suggestions if there’s something you really want my take on. I don’t claim to be any kind of expert in this — certainly there are those out there far more knowledgeable than I — nor do I claim to be cognizant of every little nook and cranny out there. Star Wars is a big galaxy, after all. But I do take pride in understanding the core of what makes it tick… from a certain point of view. I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to offer.
