The Future is Hell

Star Trek is supposed to be a future I want to live in, the best hope for the human race, optimism in every corner.

According to Star Trek: Discovery, the music of the Bee Gees is still around.  Disco is still played at parties.  This is a truly harsh way to start a Monday morning, especially after spending Sunday enraptured at a John Williams concert.

I should also add… because it wasn’t bad enough on its own, they Frankensteined *ahem* remixed the Bee Gees as a rap, proving you can make disco worse.  WTH?

I’ve never before wished for a Klingon victory in this war.  I might be willing to change my mind now… except I have to imagine Klingon Opera has gotten worse with their makeup and sense of style too.  This a future not worth living.

There is not enough coffee in the world to fix this.

  1. Poor Troy… I haven’t watched the latest Discovery episode, but rap disco doesn’t sound good.

Why don’t you try The Orville. It’s more Star Trek than the current Star Trek and not half bad.

    • I did try The Orville. It was unwatchable. But then, I’m not a fan of Seth McFarlane. I don’t find awkward to be funny, and that seems to be his stock in trade.
