Hiatus

Just a little update on some things around here.  Every so often, life throws some curve balls, and it’s necessary to step away and regroup.  It’s nothing that won’t sort itself out one way or another, it’s just that it’s taking the bulk of my time and concentration.  Always a pain in the butt to deal with screwball stuff that gets in the way of life, but it’s hardly the end of the world.

To that end, you’re going to be noticing a lot less blogging from me for a few weeks.

For those gearing up on the next leg of the Tolkien quest, my heartfelt apologies.  The simple fact is that I refuse to give Tolkien less than my full attention (which I will definitely need as we hit the non-canonical works), and I just can’t offer it right now.  As such, I’m not going to be able to commit to the April 1 drop date for the first chapter of Unfinished Tales.  My intention is to get back on track ASAP so as not to lose momentum, hopefully within the month.  As soon as I know something for certain, I’ll announce it because I know some of you are looking forward to continuing the journey with me, and I certainly welcome it.

On the Sherlock Holmes front, my buddy reader is going on a vacation next month as well, so we’re still doing “The Final Problem” this Friday and The Hound of the Baskervilles next week, but then we’ll be taking a break from that too.  Timing just happened to work out, sort of like with the Tolkien quest.  Assuming all goes well, we should pick up with The Return of Sherlock Holmes on April 20.  I’m hoping all else on my end will be sorted out by then as well.

Everything else is just dropped for now.  Once things have settled, I’ll crank out some content again.  In the meantime, I’m still going to keep up with other bloggers and any comments that may surface here.  I won’t be gone too long, just probably long enough to drive me a bit nuts because I love this.

Thanks for bearing with me while I beat life back into submission.
