19,000 hours of audio have been digitized and released to the public 49 years after the first moon landing.  I can’t even wrap my head around what an extraordinary gift to history this is, or what kind of an undertaking that had to be.

Now consider this: according to the linked article at NASA.gov, 19,000 hours represents only about 25% of the entire historical record for the entirety of the Apollo project.
